A lovely package.

When P and I were in Ireland for our honeymoon, one of our stops was Galway.  We walked along the cobblestone city center and checked out all of the little shops along the way.

One such shop had beautiful cabled sweaters and a few bookshelves full of yarn.  I decided to buy enough to make both P and I some Irish knit sweaters.

Imagine my joy to be lucky enough to be working from home the very day the USPS went to deliver the package as I was here to sign for it!

I got an almost black gray yarn for P’s sweater and a light green for mine.  I’m both excited and a little intimidated to get started.  First, I must do some pattern hunting of course!

I recently picked up the Aran Knitting book so I’m thinking I may find some inspiration there.

Hopefully within the year you’ll all see some progress pictures with that yarn as the star of the show!

I’m a Mrs.!

On May 21, 2011 I married my best friend and the man of my dreams.  I cannot even believe how lucky I am.

Hopefully I’ll have some more pictures to share soon.  It was a great day – the week leading up to the wedding was very rainy but the skies cleared and the sun came out long enough for our ceremony and outside cocktail hour and only rained once we were inside for the reception.

P and I exchanged wedding gifts with each other the Wednesday before the wedding.  I got him an antique map and a couple items related to one of his favorite authors and he got me a gorgeous green amethyst necklace.  I love it.

After our ceremony, P and I went off for a little quiet time and he presented me with a card then another gift!  He stated that the first gift was for the “old” me and that this gift was for the new Mrs.  He presented me with a Tiffany heart tag necklace with my new initials engraved on it.  I was blown away.

I will definitely do another recap post later to properly link to and thank all of our fantastic vendors – although I do think the photo booth stole the show!  So much fun!

After our fantastic wedding we flew off to Ireland for our honeymoon.  It was beautiful and relaxing.  We had a great time.  There were a lot of sheep which made me very happy of course!  More pictures on that later.

So, hopefully I’ll be back to some more blogging once we settle back into a routine after all the wedding craziness!
