My friends Kelly, Marcia and I are taking off!  We are off to some part of upstate NY not far from Niagra Falls where there are lots of Amish, great cheeses and honey.

Kelly has talked about this area, where she used to live, for years now and I’m thrilled to have the chance to visit up there.  I’m sure I’ll be back with some interesting stories.

Have a great weekend!!!

Back to School

It’s so fitting that I’m posting this now as it is just about back to school or already back to school for some!

I apologize for not modeling it but I’m just not feeling very photogenic.  Talk to me in 50 pounds.

Anyway, here’s the Back To School Vest from Fitted Knits.  I knitted it out of my own handspun (Spunky Eclectic of course) and I’m super proud of it.

I plan to wear it to Rhinebeck this year.

More kitty action.

Where’s the kitty?  I can’t find Purl.  Where ever did she go?

Wheres Purl?

Where's Purl?

Do you see what I see???

Yup, a set of kitty feet with much toefur.   I think I found her along with a few million cat hairs.

A new addition to the family!

I decided that Purl really needed a friend.  Since Bootsie died, she has taken to crying downstairs around 4 or 5 am and will continue until someone goes down to pet her.  I don’t know that a “buddy” will solve this but I feel so bad for her being alone day and night and think a bit of companionship would be good.

So, meet Oscar:

He’s a scrappy little fellow (or we think he’s a fellow so the name may change later) and as soon as I picked him up he was quite vocal.  Much like Purl.  There was a whole litter to choose from and I almost went for another calico like Purl but Marianne convinced me to get a different kitty.  So I chose this one because he has little white “boots”/paws just like Bootsie did.  A nice “tribute”.

Oscar should be coming home beginning to mid September as he’s still too little.  But he’s a cute little bugger.

Ignore my triple chins and look at the cat damnit.

So that’s the new news for now!  I’ll post many more pics when he’s home!

Hi. Remember me?

Hello everyone.

I first wanted to say thank you for all of your nice comments and emails.  I think my life will be a bit rough for a while but I’m working hard to get over myself and carry on.

I don’t know how freqently I’ll post, I do like posting daily but I am going to give it a good try to come back full force!

There’s been a lot going on that I will blog about soon…including the summer knitting olympics, some kitty news, and much, much more.

I hope you all have a great week.  More from me soon.  Thanks yet again for being so wonderful.

I know I’ve been MIA for a while.  Unfortunately it will continue.

Not only am I still sad about losing Bootsie but life simply sucks in the biggest way right now where you wish you could just not be an adult anymore and curl up in the fetal position and not move.  Good picture?

I have been knitting a little, got some FO’s but just not feeling anything right now.  Hoping to get some mojo back someday.

For now, I’m working two jobs and trying to figure my life out which doesn’t leave time for much else.

I’ll come back and post when I can.  Thanks so much for reading.  All of my readers and online pals totally rock.  Miss you.
