Our friends Paula and Marc got married on June 21st. They had their wedding at the Fruitland’s Museum in Harvard, MA.

It was such a beautiful place. Paula put so much work into special touches too. She is EXTREMELY crafty.

Here is a view of inside the tent:

And here is a look at the table decorations (all done by Paula too).

And here is a program that doubles as a fan!

And a very cute idea for some take home treats…

Congratulations Paula and Marc! Everything was just lovely!

Last Friday was my bestest friend Christine’s birthday!  Happy Birthday girlfriend.

Remember the smaller bag from yesterday’s post…..well Christine is now the proud owner!  We had our nice monthly dinner last night to catch up and I got to give her some birthday goodies.  I’m so happy she liked it!

So Happy Birthday Christine!

My last sewing class was Thursday and I’m proud to say that I finally finished some projects!

I made my Heather Bag:

Hopefully I’ll get some better shots of it to post…

I made another bag with an older pattern and some vintage bamboo handles:

And I’m glad the class is over.   I was too flustered from stressful days at work to then go to a class where the frustration would continue.  I think I’d be hard-pressed to take another.  I think for now I’ll happily muddle through on my own.

I have recently and very swiftly developed a nice little fabric stash so hopefully you’ll be seeing more from me soon.

Have a great weekend!

Whew.  It’s finally the end of yet another VERY LONG and VERY BUSY week.  This weekend I have yet another wedding then the Stevie Wonder Concert!  I hope the weather holds out.

Whatever your plans are, I hope you all have a great weekend.

I’ll leave you with a pretty picture.  This is of the grounds at work in Canton.  I’m so lucky to work at such a great place with so much beauty around it!

Purl, the illusionist.

Where’s the kitty?  I can’t find her.  I guess I’ll check the bathroom.  Hmmm.   I still don’t see the kitty.

Wait.

What is that?

Very suspicious indeed.  Let’s see what’s in there shall we?

Caught in the act and making a run for it.  What a little monkey.

Going very green?

Like most, I too am concerned about the environment.  I try to remember to always do what I can to reduce, reuse, recycle.  I usually use my own coffee mug at work instead of their disposable cups, I use fabric bags when grocery shopping, etc.

But lately, I’ve heard people discussing paper towels.  There are many out there that don’t use them.  I can see this working except when cleaning up a “cat episode” or blotting wet chicken out of the package before freezing or cooking it.

Otherwise, I would like to try to make a conscious effort to not reach for a paper towel but instead use some dishcloths.  I feel a lot of dishcloth knitting in my future!
